Things are going well right now. Weird. I am trying to enjoy it as much as I can because I know its not going to last forever. Charissa has been warned that her birthday is coming up and I can still give her presents to somebody else. I warn her that every year and she still does not care. Maybe she is taking me seriously this time.

two years ago, i told my son that if he misbehaved, then the christmas magic would make some of the gifts disappear. and they did! he was so upset! little did he know that he received them on his birthday. when next christmas rolled around, i talked to him about the christmas magic again. if your child is like mine, then she has a hard time with cause/effect. my child still remembers the christmas magic taking his gifts away!
